The Sabelt Steel Formula Basic 6 Point Harness, part number 350S622FU3F6, is a bolt-in 6-point formula harness approved to FIA 8853-2016. Shoulder and lap webbing are 2 inch. Clip buckle. HANS specific. Available in black, blue and red.

Formula application means this harness is designed for single-seater cockpit geometry: the strap angles, shoulder routing and anti-submarine attachment are configured for narrow formula car monocoques rather than the wider dimensions of a saloon car.

HANS specific: the shoulder geometry is set for use with a HANS device. Use with a HANS device is required with this harness. Bolt-in installation anchors to the designated rear points in the monocoque.

The clip buckle is a standard T-bar quick-release mechanism. If your series regulations or car setup require a formula-style pull-up release buckle, the Steel Formula Mid (3500064, £204) uses that buckle type at the same price with identical specification otherwise.

At £204 this is the entry-level steel-tier formula harness. The step up in quality is the Silver Formula (50A622FU3F6, £280), which uses Silver series hardware at a slightly higher cost. For Ultralight webbing, the Ultralight Formula (SABCCA622FRUN, £248) is available at comparable cost to the Silver Formula but with a different quality emphasis.

Does it work with a HANS device?
Yes: only 6-point FIA harnesses work with a HANS device, and this belt qualifies. If you run a device, check whether you want the HANS-specific shoulder cut and ask us which suits your setup.

What does it mount to?
A harness needs proper anchor points: a harness bar, cage, or the car’s designed mounting points, plus a seat with the right slots. Tell us the car and seat and we will confirm the mounting plan before you order.
